PROTAC® RETAINING COMPOUNDS
Protac® retaining compounds are one-component products which replace or augment mechanical joining methods. They fill voids while securing bearings, bushings and cylindrical parts into housings and onto shafts.
Their strength after polymerisation varies according to the grade but can be extremely high and comparable to brazed or welded assemblies. Protac® retaining compounds also have significant resistance to shear and compression. The Protac® retaining range covers a wide variety of applications and are used for all conventional assembly methods including shafts, keys, grooves, pins, splines, etc.
Their main features include:
- High strength
- Fast cure
- Offers increased load bearing capacity
- Ideal for close and loose-fitting parts
- Ideal for machinery repair
- Prevents corrosion
- Military specification
